What is Mia?
Mia is Financemate's AI agent for buying rental property in Germany. She gets to know your goals and your numbers, searches apartments our property partner has screened, and shows you what each one does to your income and your tax, year by year.
When can I start using Mia?
Mia opens to a small group first. We invite people from the waitlist in small groups and email you when your place is ready. The one question after you sign up, where you are right now, helps us invite you at the right time.
Does the waitlist cost anything?
No. Joining the waitlist is free, and we only email you about the beta. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How is Mia different from ChatGPT?
A general chatbot searches the web and answers the general case. Mia runs your own numbers through our calculation engine, which was vetted by a tax advisor, and works with comparable rents, sale prices and area data. She never does the math herself: the engine does, and she explains the result with every source.
Can Mia make mistakes?
Yes. Mia is an AI, and like any AI she can get things wrong: misread a document, misunderstand a question or explain a figure badly. The numbers come from our calculation engine, and every answer shows its sources so you can check them. For anything that matters to your decision, one of our experts can look at it with you.
Where do the properties come from?
Our property partner sources and screens the apartments Mia searches, including off-market ones that never reach the portals. You can also bring your own: paste an exposé or a listing, and Mia runs the same numbers on it.
Can I talk to a real person?
Yes. When you want a person to check something, Mia brings in one of our experts, Karim, Daniel and Sven, who looks at your numbers with you.
Does Mia give financial or tax advice?
No. Mia shows you the numbers and explains them, but she does not give tax, investment or insurance advice, and Financemate does not act as a property broker or loan intermediary. Our partners do the regulated work, and you decide at every step.
Do I need to speak German?
No. Mia works in English and explains German terms when they come up. Our experts and partners work with you in English too.
